Abstract(in English) We have been proposing SSB-DFTs-OFDM (Single Side Band DFT spreading OFDM) scheme to achieve higher spectrum efficiency. There are various hardware implementation imperfections such as quantization error of A/D conversion, DC-offset error, non-linear error and so on. It is expected that such hardware implementation imperfections degrade transmission performance of SSB-DFTs-OFDM more as its modulation level increases. Thus, quantization error of A/D and D/A converters will be a dominant factor to limit the modulation level of SSB-DFTs-OFDM. This report evaluates the effect of quantization level of A/D conversion on the transmission performance of ultra-multi-level SSB-DFTs-OFDM and considers the relations between quantization level of A/D conversion and modulation level.
