Abstract(in English) | I propose herein that remote sensing is applied to the input interface of spoken language systems. The remote sensing refers to a target-tracking radar, which functions as an active sensor, and which acts as brain-machine interface at the same time. A radar transmitter irradiates a radiofrequency beam onto the head of a user, and a corresponding radar receiver receives reflection from the head of the user. The reflection is demodulated to output an EEG, and then an artificial neural network transforms the EEG into an acoustic signal, which is further input into the spoken language system. In the learning mode, acoustic and EEG signals simultaneously input into the artificial neural network so as to correlate the acoustic signal with the EEG signal. In the decoding mode, an EEG signal inputs into the artificial neural network so as to output a corresponding acoustic signal. In a certain mode of operation, the spoken language system functions as a mind reading machine. |
