Abstract(in English) | This paper proposes a lossy compression technique for wave field in computer holography. As a 3D display technique, holography is a promising technique. Hologram becomes a massive data with much high resolution, because of the source’s wavelength needs a corresponding sampling interval. For that reason, we need a technique to compress the data. On the other hand, data saved as wave fields have a higher flexibility of reconstruction. Therefore, we provide a method for compressing the wave field data. First, we calculate the amplitude component and phase component from the wave field. The lossy compression method which consists of singular value decomposition to amplitude component, and re-quantization to phase component is proposed. We confirmed that it was possible to get a 3.1% compression ratio and to achieve superior quality of the reconstructed image. |
