Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Nowadays, Wireless power transfer (WPT) is attracting our interest. Using WPT, we can charge our terminals without wires, and it can select the charging object without moving the transmission system. This is useful for reducing batteries. On the other hand, there are some shortages on WPT. Their shortages are lower RF-DC conversion efficiency of WPT than that of wired charging and interference with communication systems. Pulse modulated wave has high peak-to-average power ratio. It is said that this kind of wave form can improve the RF-DC conversion efficiency. And pulse modulated wave is effective for avoiding the interference. In this study, we analyzed the operation of rectifiers with pulse modulated input. First, we calculated the output voltage of rectifier with intermittent input by using transient simulation. From that wave form, we hypothesis that the output voltage can be expressed by time constants. In this assumption, we calculated time constants. By using time constants we estimated the RF-DC conversion efficiency and ripple content. Finally, we compared the experimental result and simulation result.
