| Abstract(in English) | Recently, the spread of distribution services of ultra high-definition (UHD) video, such as 4K/8K, has been expected, and in order to economically realize it, distribution with PON (Passive Optical Network) is promising in access networks. We have proposed a service concept of multi-provider’s multichannel video distribution services with a downlink unidirectional system, as an exemplary use-case of the dedicated-wavelength-based video broadcasting, which is one of the video distribution methods employed in PON-based access network. Also, we have proposed a carousel-type ONU (Optical Network Unit) control method for that use-case. This paper describes a prototype OLT and ONU equipment and performance evaluation of proposed method. |
