Object-based Coding based on Image Quality Assesment

Abstract(in English) Most still image coding techniques encode for the whole region. Because the coding techniques are not considered principal object, the visual quality degrades. This paper proposes an object coding technique based on Grabcut and inpainting. We studied the relationship between foreground and background quality using objective image quality assessment based on visual saliency called VSI. The experimental results show that the optimal ratio consists of foreground and background construct amount of bit.
