[Tutorial Lecture] Sport Information Processing by using Vision Sensor

Abstract(in English) Recently, various kinds of sport information analysis system using a vision sensor have been proposed targeting for creating new game tactics based on the analysis data or a sport TV broadcasting with additional information. The merit of using a vision sensor for sports like a ball game is that we can obtain analysis data without attaching some special sensors or markers to players or a ball. That makes it possible to apply the analysis system to real games and widen its application range. This paper introduces various sport information analysis activities such as 3D ball tracking, 3D multiple players’ tracking and players’ motion detection for volleyball. It also describes some problems need to be solved for the future.
