Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | To improve Java programming educations, we have developed the Web-based Java Programming Learning System (JPLAS) and used it in the Java programming course. Unfortunately, JPLAS presents all the problems at the same time to the students, which makes them difficult to solve proper problems according to the progress of the course. Besides, it can be accessed from the students only in online environments. In this paper, we implement the problem assignment function using the relational data model, and the offline learning function that enables students to solve the assignments in offline environments after distributed through USB memories. In our implementations, the first function can be used for all of the three problems provided in JPLAS. The second one can be used only for the fill-in-blank problem, because it can expect the highest learning effect through iterative studies among them. Then, teachers can present flexible assignments according to progresses of courses, and students can solve the given assignments in JPLAS at any place. Through comparing the access day of week to JPLAS and the server load, the effectiveness of our proposal is confirmed. |
