Abstract(in English) For simplification of the mobile base stations architecture, we presented integrated photonic array-antennas (IPA). First we fabricated IPA, where 8 photodiodes and 4 x 2 arrayed patch-antenna were integrated in a single board, and demonstrated 3.5-Gbit/s QPSK digital signal transmission with beam forming. Next, we proposed and fabricated a novel 60-GHz compact antenna module in order to increase the number of antenna elements and flexibility for creating various beam patterns. The feasibility of beam forming operation for the proposed antenna module was confirmed by a 60-GHz RoF transmission experiment. Finally we studied the capability of detecting the mobile terminal direction, which is important in the beam forming.
