| Abstract(in English) | Recent data-driven approach for pairwise preference modelling reveals a rational way to model the intransitivity. Intransitivity refers to the intransitive pairwise preferences which potentially form a preference loop, and it has been widely evidenced in real world datasets. However, due to the sparsity or incompleteness of pairwise interactions in large communities under stochastic environment, such multi-faced intransitivity between individuals is hard to capture. By identifying the inherent limitation of the state-of-the-art method in multi-dimensional embedding of intransitive preferences, we propose a generalized probabilistic model that overcomes the identified limitation and learns the predictive model effectively. The predictive performance of our proposed method on both synthetic and real-world datasets including individual preferences and social choices, shows that our proposed method significantly outperforms several competing methods. |
