Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Aiming at the practical applications of Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) system to the fifth generation mobile communication systems, the study on it has been conducted widely. It uses antenna elements at a base station more than dozens of or several hundreds. Then, if antenna elements at a base station are arranged in 1D, the installation space of the antenna array will become a problem. To cope with this problem, a Full-Dimension MIMO (FD-MIMO) system, in which antenna elements are arranged in 2D has been proposed. Applying FD-MIMO can reduce the installation space of antenna array. In addition, we can realize better resolution performance by 3D beamforming. In this paper, we generate channel matrices between a transmitter and user equipment by using a ray tracing technique and then evaluate the channel capacity with different places of a transmit antenna array in an indoor environment. The result shows that different tendencies between channel capacity of 1D and 2D arrays are observed according to installation sites.
