Hybrid Permanent Flow Scheme for Flow Reduction with Two MPLS Tags in Software-Defined Network

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a scheme to reduce the number of permanent flow entries stored in a switch and the number of OpenFlow messages between the controller and the switch in a Software-Defined Network. It re-designs a flow table that is incorporated with a concept of two multiprotocol label switching tags to guide packets from sources to destinations. One is from source to an edge switch of the destination group and the other one is from the edge switch to the destination switch. The numerical results show 74% reduction of the permanent flow entries and 81% reduction of the OpenFlow messages.
