Abstract(in English) Recently, the spread of distribution services of ultra high-definition (UHD) video, such as 4K/8K, is expected, and a distribution with PON (Passive Optical Network) is promising in access networks. This paper describes a service concept of multi-provider’s multichannel video distribution services with a downlink unidirectional system, as an exemplary use-case of the dedicated-wavelength-based video broadcasting, which is one of the video distribution methods employed in PON-based access network. In addition, a carousel-type ONU (Optical Network Unit) control method for the use-case is proposed and a study of system design of the proposal method is described.
