| Abstract(in English) | We propose a method to embed invisible digital watermarks into PDF documents by changing the text structure in the PDF file. Since PDF documents can be displayed or printed irrespective of the usage environment, they are widely used as business documents. In order to prevent unauthorized use of the PDF documents, the digital watermarking method for them should be developed. Each document in the PDF file is described inside a text area specified by a Tj or TJ operator. In the proposed method, a text area is split into smaller areas according to watermark information. The smaller areas are located at the same positions as they were. Therefore, the watermarks can be embedded without any visual changes. We also show how to calculate the split size by using the amount of watermark information and number of lines in the PDF file. Moreover, the method has the advantage that there is no need to share the split size as a secret key. As a result, stego PDF documents which can feel visually comfortable could be generated by using the proposed method. |
