Subsidy-based Stabilization of Nonequilibrium Target State in Population Games with Unknown Payoff Functions

Abstract(in English) In populations that consist of many selfish players, a desirable state for populations may not be realized.In order to resolve the problem, a government has been introduced to make an arbitrary target state an asymptotically stable equilibrium point of the replicator dynamics by imposing subsidies to all players.In previous work, however, it is assumed that the government knows payoff functions of all players.In this paper, we propose a novel subsidy allocation method for cases in which the government does not know the payoff functions of players. Moreover, we derive conditions that the target state is a Nash equilibrium, an evolutionarily stable state (ESS), and a globally asymptotically stable equilibrium point of the replicator dynamics.
