Hardware Trojan with Sensor Trigger

Abstract(in English) Recently, in-vehicle system technology has been rapidly developed. However, in-vehicle system is vulnerable because of spoofing and CAN communication intercepted. To secure in-vehicle system, study of sensor security in-vehicle system is very important. Therefore, this study proposes a new hardware Trojan for sensor ECU. When external trigger is actuated, the proposed Trojan performs malicious behavior. Experiments using an actual device show the threat of the proposed Trojan with in-vehicle system.
