Abstract(in English) | In this paper, a Gunn oscillator for an oscillator array is proposed. The oscillator has two ports for the output port (2nd harmonic frequency) and synchronization port (fundamental frequency). The oscillator consists of Gunn diodes, a slot-ring resonator and microstrip lines. The 2nd harmonic signal port has a 1/4-wavelength open stub to suppress the fundamental signal. Therefore, the oscillation frequency is not affected by the variation of the load impedance. In this study, the oscillator is experimentally evaluated by using a prototype. The oscillation frequencies are 10.1 GHz and 20.2 GHz at the fundamental and the 2nd harmonic frequencies, respectively. The output power at the fundamental port is 9.9 dBm at the fundamental frequency and -13.0 dBm at the 2nd harmonic frequency. The output power at the 2nd harmonic signal port is -22.0 dBm at the fundamental frequency and -6.0 dBm at the 2nd harmonic frequency. Undesired signals is suppressed at each port. |
