Output Stability Evaluation of a Push-Push Oscillator Array Using Mutual Synchronization Type Coupling Circuits

Abstract(in English) Recently, radar systems have been widely used in consumer products such as a collision avoidance radar for cars. Therefore, cost reduction and miniaturization of the radar circuits is required for these applications. In the radar, the phase of signals fed to antennas has to be variable. The authors have been studied several types of Push-Push oscillator arrays for the purpose. By using mutual synchronization type coupling circuit in the Push-Push oscillator array, it has been found that it is capable of further miniaturization. In this paper, stability of a Push-Push oscillator array using mutual synchronization type coupling circuits is evaluated. Maximum output power variation was 1.93 dB, almost the same stability as injection locking type was obtained.
