Abstract(in English) | In this paper, a multi-statics GPR “YAKUMO” was applied to inspect the health of airport taxiway. The GPR YAKUMO consists of 8 transmitting and 8 receiving antennas. It is a stepped frequency continuous wave system (SFCW) operating in the frequency range from 50 MHz to 1.5 GHz. The broad frequency bandwidth operation and the antenna configuration enable the system capable to provide a 3-D subsurface image with high resolution. The antenna array can record a full 64-channel dataset within 100ms and can cover a swath of 2 m by a single scan. The GPR survey was conducted both along the sound and non-sound taxiway which were inspected by conventional acoustic sounding method. Shallow structure, to about 1 m depth, is obvious on the GPR sections. The base asphalt of the taxiway was very clearly shown on the B scans. Preliminary analysis of the CMP profile give the velocity of taxiway around 0.15 m/ns. Through the 3-D reconstructed images and NMO stacking profiles of subsurface, the non-health parts of taxiways could be detected by multi-statics GPR YAKUMO. |
