Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A bent waveguide with a microcavity constructed by an air-bridge type two-dimensional photonic crystal slab is analyzed. The bent waveguide has a microcavity that improves the transmission efficiency by a resonant tunneling. In order to investigate the cause of transmission loss, the bent waveguide with microcavity is expressed by an equivalent circuit. It is confirmed that the transmittances for the bent waveguide and the equivalent circuit match with each other and the transmission loss is primarily due to the out-of-plane radiation in the microcavity.
