Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we present a battery-less agricultural sensor system that is wirelessly powered from unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). There are several trials that using UAV as a mobile wireless power transmitter and driving sensor nodes by the transmitted power with microwave. However, introducing the system to agricultural applications, microwave will likely be reflected or absorbed by crops and soil which richly contains moisture since microwave propagation significantly affected by water. As a result, power transmission efficiency will depend on transmitter’s positions. On the other hand, there could be another efficient powering position. Thus, we attempted to measure dependency on UAV’s position and proposed to position estimation method to quickly navigate UAV to suitable point for power transmission and shorten the time to supply sufficient energy to sensor node. |
