No-reference noise prediction for still images

Abstract(in English) Recently, much objective quality image quality assessment (IQA) methods proposed.Almost IQA methods use an original and distorted image called full-reference IQA (FR-IQA). Because a user side cannot use anoriginal image, the FR-IQA cannot use actual streaming services. On the other hand, no-reference image quality assessment (NR-IQA) methods not have to use original image. In streaming services, quality of experience (QoE) is decreased by many types of noises such as compression noise, transmission error. This paper proposes a noise prediction method for NR-IQA. The experimental result showed that the prediction accuracy for 24 kinds of noise is 51%.
