Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) According to the progress of vehicle-automation, cyber-risks against highly computerized vehicles have stimulated social concerns. Especially, the diversified connectivity between vehicles and the external IT world, i.e. mobile-phones, Bluetooth, V2X, and GPS, may enlarge vehicle cyber-risks in spite of safety and convenience brought by this connectivity. This report first introduces examples of cyber-vulnerability incidents in the US by this connectivity, next it introduces threat examples caused by cyber-vulnerabilities on vehicles. Finally it concludes with activities against these threats by the government, standard organizations, and the auto industry in the US.
