Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Trajectory-based operations require 4-dimensional trajectory management which is supported by information sharing between aircraft and ground systems. For this purpose, trajectory information downlinked from flight management system (FMS) will play an important role. We investigate the feasibility of using downlink messages such as the Intent Downlink (IDL) ACARS messages obtained from an FMS simulator (B737 aircraft). In this paper, we analyzed the trajectory data obtained from the FMS simulator and the downlinked IDL information. To grasp modern aircraft’s path prediction accuracy for fly-by waypoints, the difference between the arrival time and the estimated time of arrival at a fly-by waypoint isevaluated for three scenarios. This paper briefly describes method of simulation and its results.
