| Abstract(in English) | We discuss beam scanning algorithm for conformal array with arbitrary shape. In order to scan beam of the array, it is necessary to calculate optical path length from each element to equi-phase front plane which is perpendicular to scanning beam direction. This calculation can be easily and generally expressed by introducing the direction cosine relation between the beam direction and the each element. Furthermore, considering polarization mismatch of the each element and curvature of curved array surface, this proposed calculation method has advantages especially for three-dimensional large array radar. By using array factor theory, we can calculate scanning radiation patterns from conformal array antenna, for example, on an aircraft wing or body with curved rectangular patch elements. In this paper, we show scanning radiation patterns for case of ellipsoid array surface. |
