Abstract(in English) | Heterogeneous wireless systems such as a combination of mobile broadband wireless access (MBWA) and wireless local area network (WLAN) are candidates to attain the large capacity in next generation mobile communication systems. For capacity expansion, small cell networks using millimeter wave are necessary. Since small cell networks using millimeter wave have only 10 meter order coverage, their resources are used by only a small part of traffic. We have proposed the traffic navigation with map informations. In the proposed scheme, each user terminal estimates the routes which user will pass through and calculates the estimated throughput of each route. Hence a route with the highest estimated throughput will be recommended as the passing route. Using the traffic navigation, the system-wide load balancing can be realized. The simulation result shows that the proposed scheme can improve the average system throughput 3 times more than that of conventional scheme which packet transmission would be started immediately when the coverage is 1.6%. |
