Abstract(in English) | As a means of secure and convenient user authentication onsmart devices, such as smart-phones and tablet PCs, biometric authentication using biometric information thatcan be obtained from a touch panel, one of thenon-biometric-specific sensors, has been attracting muchinterest. On the other hand, in biometric authentication, template-protection technologies are indispensable forsecure administration and operation of biometric templates. Therefore, to design a suitable template-protection methodfor smart devices, we propose abiometric-bit-string-generation method from biometricinformation collected using the touch panel on such devicesand evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method. |
