A Language-learning Method Obtained by the Manners of Thinking and Perceiving Events (3)

Abstract(in English) The literature reported to the technical committee held on July reported about a cognitive-related approach to learning language with perceived structures of spatio-temporal images envisaged in describing world. The approach is an effective way of providing knowledge and of giving learners useful background cognition that will enable them to understand the usage of target language clearly. This has two crucial advantages over the current language learning methods. First, learners are led to spend less time on language study. Second, learners with the comparative cognitive way for languages actively seek out the tacit knowledge that is implicit and often hidden in contexts and discourse environments. They recognize that this tacit knowledge may differ from their native language to English language. The paper will explain basic sentence patterns of the two languages. Underlying mechanisms for referring and denoting objects expressed in sentences will be provided in the paper.
