Broadband Characteristics of the Quasi-distributed Constant Line Filter with Multiple Magnetic Core

Abstract(in English) Recently, increase of a broadband noise is concerned because of faster switching and higher switching frequency of a power converter circuit. Therefore, expansion of an attenuation bandwidth of a common-mode choke coil is required. We report that large attenuation in broadband is obtained without influence of winding capacitance by the quasi-distributed constant line filter with a grounding terminal using multiple magnetic core composed of higher permeability material and lower permeability material. In samples with same total volume of magnetic core, the maximum frequency that attenuation characteristic is controllable by multiple magnetic core is expanded from 17 MHz to 53 MHz by earthing of a grounding terminal. In samples with constant volume of individual magnetic core, the maximum frequency that benefit of multiple magnetic core is effectively obtained is expanded from 7 MHz to 50 MHz by earthing of a grounding terminal.
