Analysis of the microwave response of the superconducting resonator in consideration of the gap broadening

Abstract(in English) We have derived analytical expressions not only for the complex conductivity given by the extended Mattis-Bardeen theory but also for the quasiparticle density at temperatures well below T c , taking the density of states broadeninginto account. We have calculated the quality factor and the responsivity of the superconducting resonator using those analyticalexpressions. It is demonstrated that the quality factor of the superconducting resonator at well below T c is well described bythe one calculated by using those analytical expressions. It is also found that the phase and amplitude responsivity of thesuperconducting resonator go to zero at a temperature well below T c , whenever the density of states broadening exists.
