Coupling Coefficient Maps for Wireless Power Transfer Using Solenoid Type Coil

Abstract(in English) In this paper, a design method of the solenoid type coil, which roughly estimate coupling coefficient between a primary coil and a secondary coil for wireless power transfer system based on a map of the coupling coefficient is proposed. In a conventional design procedure, because the coupling coefficient design is held by only electromagnetic analysis, it takes a long time to decide the size of the cores due to the cut-and-try for analyzing the coupling coefficient. In this paper, the design method using a map of the coupling coefficient standardized by transmission length is proposed. This map shows the relationship between the dimensions of the coils, which is standardized by the transmission distance, and the coupling coefficient. In the proposed method procedure, the coupling coefficient is roughly estimated by using the map of the coupling coefficient. Therefore, it will shorten the time for design of the coils.
