Proposal for Near Field Measurement of Active Antenna System Using Adjacent Probes Phase Difference

Abstract(in English) An active antenna into which transceivers are integrated will not supply the reference radio signal without measuring RF connector. Therefore, it is difficult to evaluate the active antenna in the conventional near field measurements. In this paper, we propose a new near field measurement using the adjacent probes phase difference that does not need reference signal from the antenna under test. We designed and produced the three adjacent probe antennas to measure phase differences of electromagnetic field between at two points apart from nearly half wavelength each other on a scanning plane. And then, we constructed a near field measurement system using the three adjacent probe antennas. Finally, we carried out the near field measurement with the system and discussed the results comparing to the conventional near field measurement.
