Abstract(in English) | The fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication system has attracted much attention to provide various kinds of mobile services and applications for 2020 and later. Massive MIMO and BF (Beamforming) in high frequency bands are well known as promising technology to increase both system capacity and data rates dramatically. It is important for the implementation to design BF scheme suited for the used frequency band properly. In this paper, first, several BF schemes are classified in terms of operational bands including low-SHF band, high-SHF band and EHF band. Then we will introduce some R&D case studies of the BF schemes, mentioning experimental results and the effectiveness of proposed FBCP (Fixed Beamforming and CSI-based Precoding) algorithm. |
