Abstract(in English) This manuscript reports Bragg scattering effect in rice paddy fields observed by space borne Advanced Land Observing Satellite (ALOS) and its successor ALOS2. These two satellites are equipped with Phased Array type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (PALSAR) and have acquired fully polarimetric data sets all over the world since 2006. Among the data sets, special attention was paid to Bragg scattering effect in paddy fields observed in Japan. It was found that the scattering is highly dependent on the squint angle of planting row with respect to illumination direction.
