| Abstract(in English) | During a fixation, our eyes make small and involuntary eye movements, and minute ballistic movements are called microsaccades. Previous studyhas shown that microsaccades rate have strong relation with visualattention system, and also it is influenced by fixation target patterns. However, it has not been analyzed about the dynamic characteristics ofmicrosaccades in detail. In this study, we investigated the relationshipbetween target shapes and characteristics of microsaccades. Subjectswere instructed to gaze at three fixation targets for seven seconds oneach trial. We analyzed microsaccade amplitude, peak velocity, duration, frequency, and fixation instability. The results indicate that thedynamic characteristic of microsaccades have no correlation withfixation target patterns, which means that the influence of targetpatterns is unrelated to arousal state. |
