Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This article proposes a particle swarm optimizer (PSO) with two rotation modes. Each search particle in the proposed PSO has convergence mode to the solutions of problems and divergence mode from them, and searches an optimum solution by switching these modes. Each search particle can be described as a simple piecewise linear system, and its behavior can be analyzed easily. This article shows the basic analysis results of the proposed PSO and the numerical results for benchmark problems.
