Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) One of meta-heuristics is a particle swarm optimization (PSO). Since the parameter of the velocity of the particles contains a random number factor, the convergence speed of the particles is uneven. To overcome this problem, we propose a PSO whose particle generates multiple solution candidates, and we investigate the solution search performance of the proposed PSO by some numerical simulations. By using some well-known benchmark functions, we compare the solution search performance of the proposed PSO with a conventional PSO. As a result, we confirm the improvement of the solution search performance in the case of multi-modal functions.
