Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Adjustable beds which can raise the head, foot, and height of the bed have been widely used as beds in the current medical and nursing care facilities. Compared with the conventional adjustable bed with manual control, it is possible to perform voluntary operation and has greatly reduced the burden of medical personnel and caregivers. However, in the case where in such as after surgery or serious injury not move the body freely, a third party must help the user of the bed. In order to solve the above problem, in this report, we has developed an adjustable bed with a voice interface. We have to develop the adjustable bed with completely hands-free, high recognition accuracy, and high usability. First, to realize completely hands-free, we implement the automatic detection technique and automatic rejection technique. We has used log-energy and harmonic structure as features in the detection process and has used garbage models in the rejection process. Next, in order to achieve high recognition accuracy, the vocabulary has been limited to 26 words and we have trained the acoustic models by word unit from speech data in consideration of positions on the bed. We have constructed a prototype of the adjustable bed with the speech interface by connecting a commercially available adjustable bed with Raspberry Pi implemented the speech recognition algorithm.
