Abstract(in English) The authors have proposed a measurement method for direct analysis of modal power ratio of an antenna from measuring 2-port S-parameters. In this paper, the measurement examples in the case that a dipole antenna and a folded dipole antenna are excited by unbalanced feed are shown. The measured results are in good agreement with the simulated results and the validity of the proposed method is confirmed. Additionally, the modal power ratio obtained by the proposed method agrees rather well with that calculated from the radiation pattern of the antenna. This result indicates that the modal power ratio obtained by the proposed method presents a ratio based on actual radiated power.
