Abstract(in English) | Software Defined Network (SDN) attracts much attention. Our previous study presented several channel utilization methods by exploiting OpenFlow in software defined wireless mesh network (SD-WMN). However the OpenFlow inherently requires control traffic to handle data traffic on WMN. Above all, control traffic of the statistic information per flow for channel utilization becomes the main overhead. The previous study proposed a method to reduce the amount of control traffic. Specifically, our proposed scheme cuts down the statistic information per interface. In the method, packet losses might occur because the method may choose inappropriate flows due to the coarse information of interface level. In this paper, we propose a flow estimation/aggregation method performing efficient channel utilization with less control traffic. Finally, we showed that the proposed method can reduce the packet losses, while reducing the amount of control traffic. |
