Abstract(in English) We will talk about the recent progress in ultraviolet (UV) laser diodes (LDs). The watt-class peak output power has been achieved. The emission wavelengths have been extended down to 326 nm. Here we also present the long-term operation of the LD for over 2000 hours. The time resolved photoluminescence has been demonstrated using the LD. The UV-LDs provide advantage for LiDAR (light detection and ranging) applications.
