Abstract(in English) | The ISO/IEC Guide 51, which shows the guidelines for the inclusion on safety issues into ISO and IEC standards, is the was revised. The new edition mainly followed the previous version and added some new terminologies according to the COPOLCO request. As the result, it was made clearly and understandable. However, the author considered some aspects which have better to be described in the basic safety standards. Therefore, the change of the definition on safety, main point of this revision are summarized. The relationship of tolerable risk and acceptable risk, and the relationship of guide and basic safety standards are considered. Adding to these points, some topics on safety are discussed in this article. |
