Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Electrooculography (EOG) is a method for measuring the resting potential of the retina. People can use EOG based interface without using arms or hands. However, in these interface, it is difficult for user to control the device, because there are no effective multidirectional classification methods for monitoring eye movements. In this paper, we propose an interface that can control a cursor on the display in any direction depending on the eye movement. We implemented the system which can control a cursor on the display in any direction depending on the eye movement by linear regression. We recruited some subjects and asked them to move cursor to targets which was appeared in a random order. We recorded the success rate and time between experiment tasks started and experiment tasks finished, to evaluate the proposed interface.
