| Abstract(in English) | We propose the measurement method of loss variation on branched fibers. This method can detect where the fault location, which branch, and the loss quantity. This measurement system consists of OTDR, branching device and different length fibers. In this paper, we clarified the calculation method of optical loss variation from total scattering response and we found the easier presumed method of inserted loss. |
