Sound collection systems using a crowdsourcing approach for constructing subjective evaluation-based sound maps

Abstract(in English) This paper presents a sound collection system that uses crowdsourcing approach. The system can collect statistics of the sounds as an opportunistic sensing, and also collect waveforms of sounds and their subjective evaluations as a participatory sensing. First, we conducted a sound collection experiment using the developed system on 14 participants. We collected 693,582 samples of equivalent A-weighted loudness levels and 5,935 samples of sounds. All of the data contain their location information. The sounds also include subjective evaluations and annotations which is attached as on-site impressions by the participants. Next, we analyzed the changes in sound properties of some areas before and after the opening of a large-scale shopping store in a city. The impact of the opening the store is shown in the time-series chart of the loudness.
