| Abstract(in English) | This talk describes the research achievements of the late Prof. Ken’iti Kido in speech research. In order to apply a speech recognition system to real world, he proposed that a speech recognition system should treat unspecified speakers, should utilize linguistic information such as a word dictionary, should be based on phoneme recognition utilizing a large amount of speech data, and should use parameters based on human auditory functions. Based on those ideas, he had achieved many big research achievements in speech research. |
