Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recently, with the growth of the mobile terminals such as smart phone or tablet, if we can identify the individual with the hand-written character on the mobile terminals, it is expected many applications, including the owner authentication of the mobile terminals. However, considering the convenience of the user, small number of strokes to be touched on the mobile terminals is preferred, so it is difficult to apply the traditional signature authentication method as it is. In this study, to achieve a personal authentication using a four strokes when writing the alphabet "TUS" on the tablet, we divided each stroke into the segments of [6,6,15,15], and constructed authentication system by comparing the representative coordinates of each segment and the writing speeds with those of the template sign. In addition, in order to deal with the aging effect of the sign, we proposed an update algorithm that can maintain authentication precision, and used it in the above system. As a result of investigating the changes of the authentication precision of each feature amounts of 12 subjects after 50 days, it is found that FRR could be improved from 0%~70% to 0%~30% in comparison with or without an update.
