Abstract(in English) Request to Send/Clear to Send (RTS/CTS) is effective for frame collisions caused by hidden terminals in the wireless multi-hop network. However, overhead problem occurs due to the increase in RTS/CTS control frames. This manuscript proposes analytical expressions of throughput and delay for the wireless multi-hop network with RTS/CTS. The proposed analytical expressions give throughput and delay at any hop number, any frame length, and any offered load by expressing transmission-failure probability. The analytical expressions are verified by showing the quantitative agreements with simulation results.
