Abstract(in English) Stable physical contact (PC) connection in realized by fiber endface deformation. Multicore fibers (MCFs) would have the different PC conditions compared with SMF because they have different distance between center and outer core. We measured and simulated relationship between the axial compressive force of ferrule and physical contact condition for 7-core MCF and 19-core MCF.
