Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, satellite communication systems attract much attention due to their vast coverage area and these systems are expected to solve the overload of terrestrial networks. High Throughput Satellite (HTS), which has large communication capacity, is being developed to meet the rising demand for satellite communication system at the time of disaster. However, HTS adopts static frequency assignment for multibeam, hence it is difficult to effectively utilize frequency resources. Therefore, it is necessary to develop technology to improve frequency utilization by flexible assignment of frequency. To measure flexibility of satellite communication systems, it is important to consider requirements from users and the environment. However, there is no evaluation method to measure flexibility of satellite communication systems considering such factors, hence the construction of an evaluation method for flexibility is an important research issue. Therefore, in this research, we aim to construct a system analysis model to measure the effectiveness of frequency flexibility of satellite communication systems. Furthermore, dynamic parameters such as rain attenuation and traffic demand are taken into account in this analysis model to evaluate the effectiveness of frequency flexibility when change in condition occurs.
